No items to display #36

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Install, enable and configure plugin
2.add syntax to existing article
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Expect to see list of
mp3s from folder listed in table. Instead I get only rendered table with
message "No items to display".

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? version
0,3,1 on Joomla 3.3.1

Please provide any additional information below.
Tried absolute path as well as relative to site root as below
{music}/path_to_site_root/mediaContent/GirlsKairos/DDees{/music}
{music}mediaContent/GirlsKairos/DDees{/music}

I urgently need some assistance with this. Since nobody else has reported it
I'm assuming it's either a configuration issue on my side or a bug that only
manifests with the latest Joomla version. I'm also using the warp framework,
don't know if that could affect it.

The sun is setting on my side of the world, and I will try to assist you with
these urgent needs, alongside the day job. I'm however not sure what might be
the issue. The demo at
http://www.totaalsoftware.com/products/all-products/4-mp3-browser runs fine
with 0.3.1 on Joomla 3.3.1. I generally use relative paths, but you tried that.
Is the content straight in DDees or do you need to include sub-folders? Did you
change the file filter? Is there any issue with capitalization? Do your files
have .MP3 or .mp3?

Thanks a lot Sanderverh. Really appreciate the assist. I have a single mp3 file
in DDees now, trying to get it to work with that and then expand after. The
name of the file is "Darling Dees.mp3". I doublechecked the paths and the
capitalization is consistent. Just reinstalled Joomla fresh with just this
plugin to eliminate impact from the template and it started working. So it
seems to be related to the template or framework. Gonna try reinstalling that
now to confirm.

Reinstalled the template and it is still working. Quite puzzled now as to what
could have been the problem before. BTW, any idea how to force the file
download to spawn an actual download rather than the browser opening up the
file and playing it?

It is not supposed to do that, and it doesn't do that on the demo at
http://www.totaalsoftware.com/products/all-products/4-mp3-browser , could you
try with the default template?

It does it both on the demo site and using the default template for me. I am
using Google chrome.

I created issue #38 for this. That way this issue can stay on the topic of
nothing being displayed.

Thanks. I will look further into that one later and see if I can make any
headway with it. Right now I'm glad to have the plugin working. Need to get
it working for mobile as well and redo the other changes to my site since I
had to reinstall it. Thanks again for your help.
