Hello

I am trying to run this program. (It worked fine on my windows xp). But now
when i try to run this on my windows 8 it's not working. I have tried to
compability settings which has proven useless.

The error message i get says: Generic DirectX error
and the other one says: CyberLink Power2Go does not support the current screen
resolution and DPI setting.

Is there a way for me to make it work?

Hmm, that's a very strange error... "CyberLink Power2Go" is supposed to be some
DVD burning software?!?

http://www.cyberlink.com/products/power2go-platinum/

I don't really see why this should interfere with your video, but from what I'm
reading on the Internet, it's because this software has a fake video driver to
allow capture of the screen while playing DirectX games?

You could try uninstalling CyberLink Power2Go from your computer, and see if it
works after?

We're working on a new version of the game that uses completely different
graphics code, and shouldn't have any problem (in particular, it will keep your
current screen resolution and DPI settings, but uses the video card to stretch
the image to full screen, instead of changing the screen resolution).

I'll close as "cannot reproduce" here, but if you have more information, feel
free to add it to this bug report, thanks!

Hello,

I run into the same issue (or almost) :
What I do : Run the game (C:\Program Files (x86)\Quadra\quadra.exe)
What I get : The screen goes black for like 1 sec., I can see briefly that the
resolution changes, and the program exits with the error "Generic DirectX
error".

I run Windows 8 64bits, with an Intel i7 and a Nvidia GeForce (with the
appropriate drivers I think).

Note that I don't get the second error message about Cyberlink Power2Go, nor do
I have any Cyberlink-related stuff.
