Hi, I don't know if you take such requests nor am I sure
this would be the place to post one but, here it goes:
It would be really nice if the volume of the sound could
be adjusted so that one could control how loud it
sounds against other sources (I like playing while
listening to music)
A second idea is to control whether the leftover bits of
pieces float or not. I personally love making 10 and more
lines in a row but some people i play against claim it's
untrue to the nature of the game and would rather they
did float.
Anyway, I don't know if you plan to release more
versions or what. It's more like I give ideas rather than
make requests, I know I have little right to do so.
Thanks for a great free game. It's really the best version
of the tetris game i've seen yet.

On 2004-04-26, I replied the following:

Yes, being able to set the sound volume would be a good idea and should not be
too
difficult to add. Unfortunately, the original developers do not have the time to
implement it ourselves. Quadra is only in maintenance mode at the moment, until
new
maintainers dedicated to advancing the game come along.

As for the floating pieces, that is very much the spirit of *Quadra*! This is
not
Tetris, but Quadra, and even though it is derived from Tetris in basic concept,
there
are many subtle but significant changes in gameplay that we feel are critical in
differentiating the two and (in our humble opinion!) make Quadra an even better
game.

We do plan to release a newer version with various features and bugfixes that
have
accumulated over time, but the original developers (of which I am part of) have
pretty much stopped working on Quadra, only occasionally integrating a
contributed
patch or fixing a serious bug. The project is well open to new members to
contribute
and take it further!
