It would be nice if we had a few community-related features.

For example, if you could had contacts, and the game would tell you if they
were playing, so you could join them.

Another one could be integrated support for clans. This could go from
simply have a separate field for the clan "tag" (like Battlefield 2142
has), to a full-feature clan interface, with admins and such (a bit like
Facebook groups, if you will).

The more advanced stuff might require registering with the game server,
which would kind of implicitly require a more reliable game server, in
addition to code changes.

This is all very "blue sky", and do not be holding your breath, just
writing down ideas. :-)
