Program Hang opening log file over network #46

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Snake Tail
2. Navigate to \\computer\c$\path\to\file
3. Snake Tail hangs

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Complete app hang

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.8.2.0 on Windows 8 Enterprise 64 bit

Please provide any additional information below.
Log file in question was a robocopy log.

When I open the following files on the local computer then I don't experience a 
hang:

\\computer\c$\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log

How big is the RoboCopy-Log file ?
How quickly can notepad open the RoboCopy-Log file?
Could you try to run SysInternals Process Explorer with a process-name filter 
SnakeTail.exe, and see what operation is attempted that is blocking?
Could you try to run SysInternals ProcDump and attach some crash dumps from 
SnakeTail.exe, when the app hangs?

I have the same issue, the logfile in question is about 7.5mb (but size doesn't 
seem to affect the issue)
