Seeder/Leecher count no longer has number in parenthesis #139

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
When I updated to 3.12, it looks like the numbers for the Seeder/Leecher
columns changed to only show the number of peers you are connected to, vs
the number connected + the total. Downgrade to 3.11 and it comes back.
Running Transmissionbt 1.76 (and all I am doing to change things is load
3.11 and 3.12)

While it is good to see how many people I am connected to, I use the totals
to determine whether or not I should continue seeding a torrent.

In looking at it further, it's the other way around. Looks like the number in
the
parenthesis is the number of peers, and the number outside of the parenthesis
is the
total number of seeds/leechers. 3.12 is showing the number of peers, but not
the total.

No idea why, but Transmission removed the seeders and leechers responses from
the RPC
specification in the latest version, so this change was necessary so the app
worked
for people using the latest version.

Because, you have to collect "manual" from trackerStats (seederCount,
leecherCount)

but this is only if you use trunk
(http://trac.transmissionbt.com/changeset/9179).
If you use 1.76 branch, rpc still sends seeders/leechers count.
