None of the Chinese Add-On channels seem to be working

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start XBMC on Windows 8
2. Go to installed Chinese Add-On
3. Choose PPStream->Movies->Chose any Chinese movie

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The XBMC screen disappears and the desktop appears for a while but then the 
XBMC screen re-appears without the movie playing

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Eden 11.0 on Windows 8.

Please provide any additional information below.
Hi, I am a nood and a total stranger to Python but on cursory look at the log 
file, I cannot see any obvious errors. Could anyone pls help to throw some 
light on why my installation is not working as expected pls? Tks much!

Nobody can help? Really hate to be so reliant but a complete noob on this so 
don't even know where to start. For whatever it's worth, tried again by 
upgrading to Frodo and thank God the Chinese add-ons still seem intact. Posting 
another log since I managed to watch PPTV today but PPStream still displays the 
same behavior described above in the original case report.... again, anybody 
can help or at least suggest where to look for help pls?
