Bulging Li-Ion battery should not be used any more. This is a sign of internal damage in the battery and could lead to fire/explosion if continued to be used. You should buy a replacement battery. I do not expect Amazon will get you a free replacement after 2 years.
While attempting to reboot my Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, the PiJuice LEDs stayed red with a blue flash. The Pi is plugged in continuously, so it should not have been low battery. After removing the battery to force see if the HAT was interfering, it turned back on once power was connected, but I discovered the battery had bulged noticeably. I included photos. I thought the short circuit & overcharge protection of the included battery would have prevented this. I got the HAT with battery in 2020 from Amazon, is there a way to get a replacement battery sent to me or will I need to purchase one?
