2019-07-31 Does not work on RPi 4 8GB #74

The current image does not work on the 8GB Model RPi 4.

This is a known issue and will be fixed in the next version which is ETA to be released by the end of August, if this affects you please comment below.

Unfortunately, this fact was not mentioned on the webshop where I bought the LoRa gateway and I already have bought a RasPi 4 8GB. Since your ETA of a fix was last August I wonder if there is a solution any time soon? If not, what prevents your precompiled image to run on the 8 gig model? I understand that I could compile the software myself to make it compatible but would lose a lot of functionality and comfort in doing so. I also read that I have to slow down the core clock of Raspi 3 and above. Would this also be nessecary with your precompiled image? What is your suggestion for a Raspberry Pi model best suited for this project? Many thanks and best regards Roger

Just tried to boot the SD image with a brand new 4GB Pi4. It fails to boot with bootloader message (amongst many)... "This board requires newer software". The Pi4 boots the latest Raspian with no issues......
