Chat pad not working Win Vista 32 #19

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I install Chat pad_installer_i386
2. Reboot
3. I run Chat pad_Control_i386

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to use my chat pad to type with like my normal Keyboard for the most 
part.The  chat pad_control_i386 runs fine it displays a bunch of text and the 
chat pad back lights work fine when you press a button 
But the keys do not work at all 
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am running windows Vista 32 bit

Please provide any additional information below.
The back lights work fine when i press the buttons but the keys do not work as 
a keyboard. what am i doing wrong?Ty for your time

Sorry if this project is dead but I'm having the same issue, he keys are being 
registered (unassigned errors appearing for foreign keys in the cmd) but 
nothing will be registered as a keyboard input. Can also toggle between windows 
mode and normal which will allow xpadder support. There are 3 lines in the 
startup info which might be useful ----

Microsoft initialization has been finished, so we can init the chatpad now.

I appear to have resolved the problem (as I am using the controller now) by 
uninstalling and starting it from scratch. I think the problem was that there 
were multiple installs of the drivers (I got errors the first few times).
