Running windows 7 x64.
I'm using a wireless Xbox 360 controller that connects trough a receiver
plugged in the USB of my laptop. The connection of the controller is there,
chatpad(headset) plugged in or not, it's the same message:

Running "chatpad_control_amd64.exe"

*****
Chatpad control utility version 0.1a started.
*****
Please wait...

Control utility started.
Opening chatpad filer driver.
Couldn't open chatpad filer: 2
Failed to open connection to Xbox 360 controller.
Done. The exit status is -1.

Running "chatpad_installer_amd64.exe"

Box1:
Preparing to install chatpad driver.
WARNING: Make sure the controller is plugged in before clicking OK!

Box2:
Failed to update chatpad filter device driver: 0xe000020b

Box3:
The chatpad installer has finished running.

PS. I hate Microsoft for not having support for this product.

I was lazy not reading "This software currently only works with WIRED 360
controllers. It may only currently work with the "Made for Windows" variant but
that should change soon to support normal XBox 360 console controllers as well."

Works fine for the wired controller, thank you very much.

I'm glad you got it working. I plan to research wireless support, but right
now only wired controllers are supported, as you discovered. :)
