Describe outputs more clearly

thanks for the software, it worked quite nicely with my dataset, I am still struggling to understand all the different outputs, Could you possibly explain in detail each output?

Hi,

Thank you a lot for your interest in Viral-Track. A full description of the different ouputs can be found in the original VIral-Track paper (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0092867420305687). Briefly, for each viral chromosome/segment, the following statistics are computed :

• number of mapped reads
• number of uniquely mapped reads
• proportion of the viral chromosome that had been detected.
• the mean sequence complexity of the aligned reads : for each read, the proportion of each nucleotide is computed and the corresponding Shanon's entropy is computed (Sum(-logp*p)). In practice the first and second features are very sensible to sequencing artefacts and only the two last are used (high coverage and high entropy is required).
