More details:

Xcode 15.4 (15F31d);
iOS 15 project's deployment target;
iOS 17.4 Simulator, iPhone 15 Pro Max;
programmatic setup (Projected Gaussian Shadows), literally copy-pasted code snippet from the readme;
same crash happens in your sample project;

Hi, I did not managed to reproduce the issue, even in my example project... I am updating the framework to use Metal API.

Missed to specify my machine - it's MacBook Pro, Apple M3 Pro chip Perhaps that's the case.
