The syntax should be more content (semantic) related.
For example, remove <em> and <hi> tags and add <introduction> or <citation>.
Just allow real section configurations within tags, like <multicolumn> or <float left/right>.
Separate content from design, design should be produced in another GUI section, and just used for content pages.
