Manual timing features such as Webscorer or Raceclocker #21

Would it be possible to add manual timing features to pikatimer as such as there are with Webscorer and Raceclocker? With these you can just click a bib number from a dashboard to register the finisher's time. The same kind of dashboard could be used for the start (time trials) and a countdown timer with beeps would also work nicely!

Thanks!

Pikatimer supports bib input from PCTimer and Race Timer on Android. I wrote a small command line python script to enter bibs in the same format as Race Timer. With some time to work on it, it could be extended out into a gui to function much like Webscorer, Raceclocker or RaceSplitter. PCTimer may work like that but I can't seem to find anything about it no matter how hard I Google.

I recommend using either PC TImer (part of the Race Director software package that a lot of timers have laying around) or the "Race Timer" app on an android tablet.

This way you won't tie up the main scoring laptop with data entry tasks during the race.

Longer term I hope to write a companion app that would just load the data straight into PikaTimer. Or maybe somebody would like to contribute that to the project. :-)
