App Located on samba Server #28

hi sir if the taskbar app is located on samba server it doesnt shows option to pin to taskbar and if i move taskbar groups to laptop internel ssd it works, please find a way to fix image

Actually, further checking this issue, this may be an issue with the OS installed on the Samba server itself. You can check if this helps you fix that on the instance.

i just have installed simple ubuntu server and within that samba ...ok il check this

nope sir , dint worked just tried the reg file still same

That is odd. Can you pin any other programs on the Samba server to the taskbar? Seems like still an OS issue, as the system clearly recognizes it as a shortcut (open file location). I unfortunately cannot help with that if OS is the case.

Closing this issue for now in that case. That is also not right because I have a Windows 11 machine and can freely pin shortcuts. The taskbar group shortcuts are the same as any other shortcuts. You can confirm this since it worked on your laptop's internal drive. Seems like an OS issue with the samba server or the image installed on it, at least. If you can't pin any other applications, it seems like it is just a samba windows image issue.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide windows support. I believe this isn't related to the application nor the shortcuts it creates. If I am proven wrong, I will gladly reopen and fix the issue.

thankyou sir i currently has ubuntu server on raspberry pi il try with pi os and see if that changes anything
