However you can search for "5v laser diode" and any will be ok.

Ciao, i tried with white LEDs and it works fine...

I found that white LEDs were more reliable than the lasers. The trouble with lasers is that they need to be well-mounted so they don't move. It's much easier to have a broad light. However, I had to add a 12v power supply.

I put 3 white led (3V each approximatley ) with 3 resistors to reach 5v 20mA. I use board power supply pin.
