Fixes to build on Arch using system dependencies #83

Building the latest release tarball from source on Arch Linux produces errors like "error ‘_1’ was not declared in this scope".

I was able to resolve them after making these changes to get a successful build using dependencies installed from the Arch repos and '--prefix=/usr' configure option.

3 months lol, also new update breaks compile again. I'm done, just going to use the ubuntu binaries for the AUR packages I maintain. ;)
