Would it be possible to have durability be part of the EMC calculations similar to Project E? For example, a nearly broken diamond sword shouldn't be worth as much as a sword with full durability.
As a secondary suggestion I remember an old 1.7.10 'Aether Exchange' mod that was similar to Project E and it had machines that you could place a damaged item and it would burn that mod's EMC to repair the item over time.
