Cron Helper scores habits multiple times even though I click just once

In the mobile Chrome browser, I click on a + habit using Cron Helper and it first shows a pop-up saying "You gained: mana: 0 gold: 0 exp: 0", then another pop-up with some values other then 0 already, then the 0s pop-up agan, and then a pop-up with the values different from the first time. After the pop-up closes, I see the habit's positive count has increased by 2, not 1. I then proceed to scroll the list to score some other habits, when suddenly the pop-ups appear again (although I didn't click anything), and after they close the first habit count increases by even a bigger number. I close the Cron Helper, but even after it has closed, pop-ups reappear, I open Cron Helper again and see that habit count increased even more. This way, Cron Helper has scored one of my habits by 33 times, and another by 11 times. I logged out of Habitican Wardrobes altogether, cleared the site's data & cookies, then logged back, but the problem with double scoring persisted, although I seem to stop seeing random ghost pop-ups (at least for now?), and the count of that 33 habit now is displaying as 17. Unfortunately I can't check if the habit is displaying the same count on the official Habitica app or website as well, cause this habit's count resets daily. I don't understand what's happening and am afraid to use Cron Helper anymore. I don't recall having this problem when I use Habitican Wardrobes from the desktop browser, but then again, neither did I encounter it before on mobile.

I think this is a dead project. Last update was almost 2 years ago and the Help page still references Guilds even though that feature was removed in 2023.
