I also noticed that sometimes on playback I get like 10% of the actual volume set. As soon as I switch to legacy mode the problem disappears and it plays on the correct volume.
The reverb function also disappears from the menu when in legacy mode is on so I assume both of the issues (volume/reverb) has to do something with the experimental enhanced session feature.
I have the same problem, Reverberation does nothing. I've tried all the presets, including Long Hall, which I imagine would be the most audible if it were working at all. Virtualization and all other features do work.
Android 11 — Moto G Power (2021) — Spotify
Same here reverberation and virtualizer doesn't work, I bought app for virtualizer😟
Bought the app for reverb and it's the only feature not working. Android 12 - Sony Xperia - Spotify
Reverb not working for me as well. Good thing I bought the feature from Google Survey money. The app should include a limited time demo mode, similar to eqMac.
Android 13 - Google Pixel 7 - Pixel Buds Pro - YouTube Music
This issue is fixed in the latest update
I'm on version 23.03 and this still doesn't work for me.
I have to correct myself! During music playback, the effect is very hard to notice. I noticed it accidentally, when Google Assistant made an announcement.
I didn't expect the effect to be this subtle. I'm going to assume, this feature uses android.media.audiofx.PresetReverb
? In that case there's probably not much that can be done to improve the effect, as it has barely any parameters, other than selecting from a predefined list of preset.
Maybe environmental reverb would be a cool addition to Wavelet in the future, but that would be off-topic for this issue. nvm https://github.com/Pittvandewitt/Wavelet/issues/120#issuecomment-968165877
Ah, that's why the reverb is so subtle. We should make a new issue and protest for environmental reverb to be added 😂

Not sure if this is similar to #143 as I don't get any errors, but my reverb doesn't work at all.
I can turn it on and off and change the presets but it has no effect on the sound.
I am running EMUI/Android 10 on a Mate 10 Pro. Obviously, since it's a paid feature I have the latest full version of Wavelet installed as of today.
Both of my permissions were granted via settings/adb so I have no idea what might be the problem. Other effects such as virtualization, bass tamer and the balancer/limiter and the eq in general work fine.
