casting to google chromecast device #221

Hi, there is missing option / icon (as in google gallery) that allows send mobile sceen (photos) to devices as Google Chromecast, samsung smart TV etc.

Thanks for the proposal.

When looking at https://developers.google.com/cast it seems that supporting "casting" directly in the app is quite some effort. I agree, that it would be nice to have, but the priority is quite small in my eyes.

As none of the current developers working on the app has a google cast-capable TV we would need the contribution and testing of this functionality from the community.

When reading https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6059461?hl=en I get the impression, that using the "Google Home App" should allow to share the full screen without any dedicated support built into the app to be shown, am I right? - In this case that would be the proposed workaround until the feature is implemented.

Hi, well there are two things, google capable TV ie samsung TV? Which is ok.ay... but there are also users with old TV's only with HDMI ports... where once can stick google Chromecast device... in that case i think proper casting has to be implemented?

Hi,

If you have HDMI ports, why not considering a Fire TV stick or Mi Box for a few bucks? Then you'll have an Android capable TV and #249 might be easier to implement.
