Additionally if background upload will be available as shortcut action in iOS, we could leverage mobile resources e.g. to convert images to a given format and resize them, generate thumbnails and pass everything “pre-cooked” to one or more piwigo servers.
Actually found a way, with shortcuts interacting with low power mode and photos.
Upload with remote thumbnails works only in the foreground and in general upload does not work in low power mode.
while this is understandable as default setting, I would like to be able to upload also in low power mode and in the background
