New worldmap #25

Basically, I wish to be able to show/hide the thumbnail carousel like in google map, https://www.google.com/maps/preview

I was not able to made it work for version 2, maybe for version 3 using a different layout.

Maybe a mixte with what does http://www.openstreetmap.org/ which is nice too.

Also show/hide the attribution via the I icon like in mapbox.js, https://www.mapbox.com/mapbox.js/api/v1.6.2/

Add a settings icon with a popup menu to show the same as in version2 + feature in #17

This issue is related to empty OS World Map after upgraded to latest version?

Could you please provide more details. A sample URL? Using version 2.7.a, you OS World Map is an empty blank page? Try to show the PHP error or check the log file. I think you do refer to #39
