Transcription feature in Google Recorder doesn't work #4750

Expected Behavior

The Google Recorder app should show transcription of the spoken words while recording (speech-to-text) under the transcription section in the recorder app.

Current Behavior

the transcription section shows no option to select for transcription and doesn't show transcripted words in the respective area.

Possible Solution

Maybe it is the issue with the current GApps package as it was earlier working perfectly fine in the PixelExperience_X00TD-13.0-20230125-1633-OFFICIAL.zip (January build for X00TD).

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Clean flash the latest February (PixelExperience_X00TD-13.0-20230227-2256-OFFICIAL.zip) build. You won't face this bug if you dirty flashed or updated from the January (PixelExperience_X00TD-13.0-20230125-1633-OFFICIAL.zip) build.
  2. Update all the apps to their latest versions via PlayStore.
  3. Then open the Google Recorder app and start a voice recording.
  4. Then move to the transcription section and try to select a transcription language from the language section.
  5. It will show no languages to select from.

Hi there. Hope you're doing good. This issue seems to be a problem with the Gapps and not on our device sources. Let's wait till the issue is fixed in the Gapps package itself. Thereby, I'm closing this issue now.
