Which text box are you talking about? Could you provide a screenshot?
Could you show the output of "apt-cache showpkg winff"?

The problem is I have no idea where to look for solving this problem. I use the
exact
same version, but seeing your response above it looks like you manually
installed the
.deb file. Just to eliminate possibilities, where did you download the file
from? And
additionally, could you test downgrading to the Ubuntu version and see if the
problem
is present there as well. Do other programs have a similar problem?

Version 0.45.1 from repository "universe" for Ubuntu 9.04 and version 1.0.0
from this
site (code.google.com) have the same problem.
At present, I can't test on previous Ubuntu versions yet.
This strange problem is just in winff.

Just wanted to let you know that I have no idea how to debug this.
You could test if it helps to build your own winff:
apt-get --compile source winff
(no need to be root)
Maybe Matt could help you here?

This bug happens for me too. Both the ubuntu repo 0.44 or something, and the
current
1.1
If I type "640" for example, it enters 664400

Although I didn't find anything specific while googling around, it seems to me
that
this might be an issue with keyboards (are they by any change usb-keyboards?)
Anyway,
it is most likely NOT a problem of winff, but of one of the libraries used by
it. The
problem is, how do we find out. If one of you can confirm you have the issue
with the
winff version from Ubuntu, I would suggest you file a bug at launchpad [1].
Then we
can try to get some support from other people, who might know better how to
address
the issue.
[1] run "ubuntu-bug winff" and you should be all set.
