Interface looks really bad when using large system font

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Get a Linux / Gnome desktop system
2. Navigate to System → Preferences → Appearance → Fonts
3. Set «Application font» to Liberation sans, 16-point
4. Start the WinFF

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Readable labels and strings.
Instead: unreadable, cropped ones (see attached screenshot). Resizing the 
windows doesn't help.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
WinFF 1.3 on Ubuntu 10.04.1 AMD64, LANG=ru.
