Unable to create file "." risk data corruption by clicking OK or cancel to kill this program on windowsXP

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. on windows XP, upload winff-1.3.1-setup.exe
2. open the exe
3. receive the message "Unable to create file "." risk data corruption by 
clicking OK or cancel to kill this program"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No possibilty to work, no possibility to add a file...
"préreglage" empty.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
winff 1.3.1 ( the same with 1.3.0, 1.2, 1.0...), windowsXP 5.1
