Client ID Bug #143

Open Ducksneedhelp opened 3 years ago

Hello there, when I was trying to get the presence to work for weeks and my client ID is not working to connect with it. I stated my client ID in config but when I ran the easyrp program, it said the following:

Unless by god you somehow got 123456789012345678 as your clientid please change this to the one you registered on the website

I tried to follow tutorials and did everything they said but it still did not work.

Does someone know what I've done wrong?

You must be making some mistake giving your client ID You have to make an application of your choice online on your developers section on discord online and then after making it use that client ID here in the config file

If anything try deleting the files and downloading easyRP again and try the same. I mean this is what everyone did. Also check if you are on windows that you have C++ Redistributable installed. Also keep running discord in bg

I did the application as well before I actually did the thing. I followed all tutorials but it did still not work.

Thanks still for the advice.

Sincerely,

The message shown above in your picture file clearly means that the application is not able to recognise your client ID I personally checked it myself now when the client ID is wrong it simply seems to work perfectly but the RP isn't seen ofc because the ID was wrong. However, If there is no client ID provided meaning that if it's left blank, then the message which you are seeing pops up... So your problem must revolve around that.

Finally what you can do is make another application online with another ID or/and delete all your easyRP files and re-download the execuatbles and ini. If you've done all of this and it still Doesn't work then idk what the problem might be.

Your last statement, I've tried before I sent this around 5 times earlier to see if it worked. Sadly it did not work.

Sorry for slow responses. I am quite inactive on GitHub.

Sincerely,
