Ideas:
Collectables = Colour. Essentially, think of old school Uncharted. it had little relics you would find and get achievements for. Maybe we could have a set amount per level and if you find them, it would add another colour to the end level?
How many puzzles per level? We could do multiple small puzzles per level and keep changing it up so it doesn't get repetitive, but the end level should probably have something bigger. as if they've all connected? Maybe like a combination of all the previous puzzles? I'm thinking of games like Portal and how you have to adapt with the portal gun.
Puzzels will have to be looked at in depth to what fits with the style of the game. Will they be using the game mechanics or other things? If other things can they be language neutral or translated easy.
Collectables I have an idea will that. It will like you are picking up pieces of paper that currently I am calling lost fragments, depending on how many are collected will effect the ending. As it will tie into the story.
