This dropbox link should allow you to download the zip required to play the games testing build. It's under: WindowsNoEditor -> test101.exe
So I have finally downloaded and tested your game and have feedback:
when walking up slopes and jumping off walls, the instant camera angle change is verry jarring (I assume this is part of the plugin you are using and can’t be easily fixed). Maybe this could be mitigated by making the ramps up to the walls larger?
you could maybe make it more obvious that jumping resets gravity, as you could easily accidentally fall into the at the start without knowing
It can get confusing in the tube section, with not knowing which way is up, and the black walls blending into each other (not sure if this is deliberate)
menu and options:
possibly add a graphics option for v-sync? (There is screen tearing noticeable in tube)
options button sometimes
unreproducible bug with losing focus from the game, where looking around requires holding down left click
the main menu's simple and text-less style can be intuitive but also confusing
the main menu has a seemingly unused button
the play button has a pause icon on it
you game has controller support (not sure if this was done deliberately, as unreal does this by default), it is missing a pause button and menu navigation.
chalkboard transition is jarring, and could easily be trigger while looking around, throwing you into the level without getting to look at the rest for the room. you could possibly add a button prompt here
using black for the ramps makes it seem like black objects have gravity changing properties
level:
the tube is not circular (it is taller than it is wide)
there are some seams in the level:
there is no death plane (a restart button would be nice)
i like the skybox by the way, apart from its graphical glitches
the level design also seems like it does a good job of teaching the player mechanics
Issue closed as project is now handed in.
This issue is purely for Josh H to use as his game testing feedback.
