ignoring flying slimes until all core issues are resolved, probably wont make final version.
Mike suggested a constant upward force against gravitational force keeping the slime up.
May have found a way to remove gravity entirely, but makes movement scaling difficult.
Would also need a new set of animations (Death and idle)
Without a double dash feature, the flying slime are now obsolete from a platforming perspective. Adding flying slimes would also effect level design, as all levels have been created around the single dash feature and based on the ground. you would have to go out of your way to get hit by or kill them - ruining the flow of the level. So for now we will close this issue (with a heavy heart - Goodbye trial :( 2021-2021). Sorry Eira for not using your amazing flying slime design.
All moving entities, Slimes and the player character. are all derived from the built in 2d side scroller character. I cannot find a way to remove gravity from one of these entities without removing it from all of them. without this a flying slime cannot exist.
