Sounds like a good plan to me.
Okay, good idea. Most of our game is heavily mechanic based regardless so getting those shown is a good thing.
Yeah, that's the best format considering our game design decisions.
I like the plan.
When it comes to the presentation, will we all be saying something or will all the talking and question answering be allocated to one of us?
Personally, I do not mind saying it all if I had to. But logically, it would be prudent to have us each talk about what we've been focusing on (@Ajarax with movement, myself with gravity, @TheAddis with minigames etc.). I'll have to see how the draft turns out. I'll have it drafted by monday hopefully.
So for the presentation, I've decided that I'm gonna have a slide briefing each 'department' we have operated so far: -Physics: me -Controls/firing: @Ajarax -UI: @16009797 and @ThallasTV -Minigame: @TheAddis
So, do you each mind helping me out by briefing what you've done so I can add it to the slide and a rough script? I'm looking for: -what you did -how it contributes to the game -what went well/wrong (optional)
Sorry, dropped my phone and re sent the email. I've created most of the assets and currently working and finalising the movement for the mini game drill. I'm planning on using a semi random base to each asteroid so that each one will be different. Eventually I plan to make a difficulty setting so that some are much more challenging (and rewarding)

I've made scripts for the movement system and the camera that's following our ship. The movement scripts use force physics instead of transform updates. It uses the cursor's position to steer, rotate and point the ship - easy to pick up. Additional actions include super-speed and manual angle refinement. Camera scripts will probably need some minor updates, but that's optional. Additional ideas: warping?, manual speed control?

(P.S. will upload GIFs/screenshots tomorrow)
Nicknames? like our github ones?

Looking at the state of the game, it is clear we have more mechanics completed than actual gameplay. Thus for our demo, I will be creating a small PowerPoint presentation with a brief about our progress and mechanics so far.
For the actual game model, I will be looking to test merging over the weekend, so I have created the "mergeTest" branch. I'll post an update here when it is complete.
