Does this work with 3ds 11.0 without CFW but on homebrew?

james-d-elliott commented 8 years ago

You may need to use ctrtransfer in Decrypt9 to get to a lower firmware first (9.2). It should be safe to try sysDowngrader though. I'm not 100% sure though.

rpalmon commented 8 years ago

Can you confirm this and try it yourself without CFW on a 11.0 3ds? I don't want to accidentally brick my system.

ihaveamac commented 8 years ago

ctrtransfer isn't used for the 9.3+ to 9.2 downgrade, CIAs are. but you can't do this on stock 11.0 without a hardmod or using the DSiware method (and no there are no other options yet. and we don't know about the future.).

rpalmon commented 8 years ago

So it is safe to downgrade using this with a stock 3ds? Then I could install CFW? I am very spectacle about this.

ihaveamac commented 8 years ago

I just said you can't...?

rpalmon commented 8 years ago

Is someone working on a softmod downgrade without CFW? If you know someone could you let me know who it is so I could follow him and get notified?

ihaveamac commented 8 years ago

and we don't know about the future.

There is no public arm11 kernel exploit for >10.7.0

james-d-elliott commented 8 years ago

Oops. I totally brain farted and look silly. :C

rpalmon commented 8 years ago

I'm glad I didn't take your advice. Or else I would've f*ed up. @james-d-elliott

sysDowngrader/Decrypt9 still doesn't work on stock 11.0 anyway so you wouldn't be able to do it.
