Anlaufstelle - main entry for German validators #35

Open sectore opened 11 months ago

sectore commented 11 months ago

This issue is the main entry for all German validators (native speakers).

Just add a comment with your GitHub username to let the Sovereign University team know you are interested in to be a validator. The team still needs some time to figure out what the best way is to validate and to update current translations in German. Any updates by the team will get into this issue.

Pls subscribe to this issue to get informed whenever an update about next steps will happen.

Also feel free to attend next Bitcoin Beach Travemünde Meetup at 14th October 2023 https://bitcoinbeachtravemuende.github.io/meetup/ to meet other German community members and to discuss contributions to The Sovereign University.

Announcements (German only):

Hello Everyone, Rogzy here! Thank you so much for your motivation to support the university :) As you can see, it's a pretty massive project with a worldwide vision ^^.

For the translation, we have more than 60 tutorials to be reviewed and 10 courses. The issue is that X5 languages so far have gotten tricky to manage. We are exploring the best way to simplify the process. We should have something by the end of this week to get started :)

Thank you so much for your support!

Hi, Became aware of the project via a message in a telegram group. I am a native speaker and bitcoin enthusiast. I am pleased to offer my support.

Hi, I would also like to help, however I have no experience with github so far.

mkettn commented 11 months ago

Hello, I am also interested in helping. I already educate interested people about bitcoin technology in my free time and currently collecting material for a full course. this would come in handy.

Plebs together strong! Einundzwanzig brought me here, happy to help with some German as well!

Hello everyone! Nice to meet you all :) I feel we have enough people to get started, and the best way will be simply to try together a system and improve on it for the future. I'm sure between us, we will find the right procedure and mechanism so other languages can follow. Let's work together to lead the path! :D

SOOOOO,

The university is an open-source E-learning platform. We have basically three main areas: the courses, the resources, and the tutorials. So far, we have around 12 courses (8 fully ready); 70 tutorials (60 fully finished), and lots of resources. While we could work on multiple things to improve, I feel the best use of your time as of right now and to start, will be to review our German translation. It's an easy first step to figure out if our community's process flows are good. If you have some other serious skill we could use, we can discuss later.

For the translation, the process goes as follows:

Now, this is what I'm missing currently:

So, we can tackle those things as time goes but you have the main idea. I've tried many times to get that massive translation process going but never managed to get something "clean". This time we can make it.

SO, I've added two proposals to get things in motion: https://www.canva.com/design/DAFsKdA668Q/SayTrmc0cmK6x6KVj-NHFg/edit?utm_content=DAFsKdA668Q&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton

I thought that with that, people would just quickly help."

"The second was to coordinate the effort on GitHub directly under a translation project.

But i feel it can be improved.

First Solution Implementation Proposal:

Create a German/DE branch of the university so we can simply commit all the translations in this branch. And once a week, merge the branch to sync with the main. This gives time to the team to work on some stuff and not merge every page one at a time.

Advantage: Easy to give independence to each language.

And we use the Github board to keep track by language

OKOK it's already a first good step. Let's get your input on it :)

Hi! Know that we have recently published in the github (and so the Planb.network website) a bunch of tutorial on how to contribute to this github repo. And there's a couple of ones on translation proofreading (which are sat rewarded). Moreover if some of you are interested in publishing educational content (as courses, or tutorials) don't hesitate to send me a DM on Telegram (@asi0_flammeus)
