Missing ABA Biosynthesis projections #2

From Marcela: In November, when I searched for ABA pathway genes I would get hits in 36 species but now I'm only getting hits in rice... So the projected species (like maize) are no longer searchable from Gramene's homepage?

I searched for ABA projections on PR. They are not present there, either (which explains what you see on Gramene search).

I will have to dig into the projection files to see if the ABA-related genes are not present in the current release. Could be a change in Compara data, or it could be another issue with slicing, projection, or the pathway hierarchy. We did not revise ABA pathways in this most recent release.

I am speculating that this might explain the slightly lower gene / reaction counts in the latest releases. Jason Kiff and I explored projection statistics a month ago, in search of an explanation, and got mixed results with no obvious culprit.

I will attempt to corroborate this ABA connection.
