How about making it a cardinal organ part?
A cardinal organ part that has as parts an egg cell and two synergids and is located at the micropylar end of the embryo sac.

This definition was accepted at the POC conference call on 12-15-10.
We will also create a new subset for angiosperms, to which this term will belong.
