Propose adding new term: gemma: Described as "a tiny ball of tissue which is born in a saucer-shaped structure, the gemmae cup, directly on the Liverwort thallus." Involved in asexual reproduction, as they can grow into a new thallus after dispersal by raindrops of animals.

Biology By Eldra Solomon, Linda Berg, Diana Martin ISBN# 978-0-538-74125-S books.google.com/books?isbn=1133170323

Proposed definition: A portion of plant tissue (PO:0009007) which is a small ball of cells born on a thallus (PO:0030027) and is involved in asexual reproduction.
