Puffins are intrinsically tied to the image of Alaska. These sea birds were also traditionally hunted by native peoples.

The addition of puffins to the mod.

Puffins swim through the water much like they fly through the air, so they could probably just completely ignore water blocks as existing.
Puffins have been caught via baited hooks in the water, meaning they could technically be fished up.
They've also been caught with thrown nets, perhaps an addition to consider.
