Request for Assistance with 3D Printing Issues: Telemed L12 and Ultrasonics L14-5_38 STL Files #10

Dear Queen's University Members,

I hope this message finds you well.

My name is Nilton, and I am part of the University of São Paulo (USP) in Brazil. I am reaching out to request your assistance with the use of STL files for 3D printing, specifically the Telemed L12 and Ultrasonics L14-5_38 models. My goal is to conduct experiments with these transducers in water, and I would like to print them to verify the sealing before using the actual transducers.

However, I am encountering an issue during the printing process. The software indicates that the solid is "non-manifold," which prevents proper printing—only the supports are printed, while the shell does not appear. I was able to correct the mesh issues with the Telemed model using Fusion 360 (I am attaching the corrected file for your reference). Unfortunately, I have not been successful in resolving the issues with the L14-5_38 model (as shown in the attached image).

If possible, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide the .obj file or the original model in a format other than STL so that I can attempt to fix the problem on my end. Alternatively, if it would be easier for you, I kindly request your assistance in correcting the issues with the L14-5_38 model.

Thank you very much for your attention and support.

Sincerely, Nilton Assugeni Neto Electrical Engineer, Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM) Master’s Student in Applied Physics to Medicine and Biology, University of São Paulo (USP)

Hi Nilton, I got the L14-5 model from Telemed in SLDASM format. I could import it to Fusion 360. I didn't get permission to share the model on a public website like this so please contact me or Telemed directly for the model files. Thanks.

Hi Ungi, thank you for your response. I sent you an email yesterday with my contact information, requesting details about the model. If needed, my email address is nilton_aneto@usp.br
