But I can do it in another app

Which podcast?

vlzuykov commented 4 months ago

All the Spotify podcasts I tried to update. For example: https://www.podcastrepublic.net/podcast/1617407150 https://www.podcastrepublic.net/podcast/0202307082321 https://www.podcastrepublic.net/podcast/1562733693

Do you mean to update RSS feed URL of the podcast or new episodes not retrieved?

vlzuykov commented 4 months ago

I mean both issues

Can you send the app log? Thanks.

vlzuykov commented 4 months ago

Just sent it

The log shows the connection failed with http 403 forbidden error. Please try with a VPN if you have one. That should fix it.

I tried to update this feeds by connecting through several VPN connection locations and without VPN. The results are the same. Another app can update and download Spotify feeds/episodes under the same conditions.

I just tried one of the podcasts you linked. I was able to get the episodes and stream the latest episode. Please see the attached screenshots.

I'm not sure how the other app works. It may cache the episodes on their server, for example, Spotify does that as far as I know.

I was able to work around this problem. When I'm connected to a mobile network, I have no problem updating my Spotify feeds, regardless of whether I'm connected to a VPN. But if I switch to a Wi-Fi network, I get the problem described earlier, regardless of whether I am connected to a VPN.

That sounds like a firewall issue on your home network. Have you checked your WiFi network configuration?
