I tested revision 86 and worked perfect with no problem. I think people on the
net may have this problem but because no one test this app with older games
like I do it will go unnoticed. I don't have friends in real life with
softmodded wiis :( .
What do you think may cause this error?

have you a "no copy save" hack installed?

I have priiloader0.6 beta 3 installed but I don't think I have enabled that
hack. I will enable it and try again /disable it and try again to see if it is
affecting the saving somehow.

I ran into this same problem last night with Wii Music in both revision 87 and
revision 90 of SGMGX. After about 15 attempts the savegame did install and
work fine. I did not change any settings between attempts.
When the install of the save file was failing it also deleted the save I made
for Wii Music from the Wii's NAND. Very strange behavior.
If I can do any testing to help the project just let me know. So far I love
what I see of SGMGX, I think it will lead to much easier management of
savegames. Thanks.

thx guys

All right, I used the Test.dol and still had the exact same problem with Wii
Music. When I click install it supposedly installs the save in the blink of an
eye but when I check the Wii NAND the save is gone.

DJ I think I found the reason of the bug. I haven't tested your dol because I
wanted to run a few tests first and the reason I think the Mario Kart save
"corrupts" resides in the cios the Loader uses.
I always use cios222v4 but I decided to load the game with cios249 and the SGM
extract and install worked perfectly. When I loaded the game again with cios222
it game me the "corrupt save" warning again. If I load the game again with 249
it works perfectly again so I think the save didn't "corrupts" in reality but
gives a warning as if was corrupted.
Most people haven't felt this problem because the majority of people load games
with cios 249 .

I load with 222 also but I am using v5. I will try this with Wii Music and
report back when possible.

thx for your test jayro
waiting your return jsugarsmacks
so it's perhaps a bug with the cIOS222...

Nope, using cios249 rev20b to create a Wii Music save file still had the same
results. The save file on the Wii NAND was erased when the file from SGMGX was
installed. I dont think it is a problem with the save file because the one
time it did work the installed save was fine (when checking Wii Music). What
loader is jayro using to load games? I am using Wiiflow, maybe something weird
is happening with it.

I'm using Configurable usb loader and the cios249 comes from rev20 with base 56.
I will try Wii Music here and I'll post results.

Results for Wii Music are:
If I create save then extract / install with SGM and then load the game with
222 it will give me this error http://yfrog.com/1gdscf1309fj
and will get stuck there unless I power off the wii.
If I load with 249 will run fine.
*Ps* error says: An error ocurred while accesing wii memory, consult operation
manual...

I get this same exact problem with EVERY games. I just restored my NAND and
tried to re-install the savegames I had backed up prior to the restore and
every game says I got a corrupted save. I'm using USBLoaderGX r938 with
cIOS222v4 and SaveGame Manager GX r90.
I'll try it with cIOS249 and report, but meanwhile is there any workaround to
restore my saves ?
Thank you!

@BigBig I don't think the saves are corrupt, it is a warning you get when
loading the game with 222. Try to load it with 249 and please post results.
@Dj Skual let's say it is the cios 222 the one causing the problem is there any
solution to this?

Could the problem resides in a combination the Usb Loader in use and the cios
loaded?
BigBig what Usb Loader are you using?
What rev of 249 are you using? For example I use rev 20 with base 56.

I'm using USBLoaderGX r938 with cIOS222v4 and SaveGame Manager GX r90, my
cIOS249 is v19 I think but I can't tell for sure right now. I can load and
create saves that are on my old (restored) NAND, but files "archived" with
SavegameManagerGX can't be installed back on my Wii. In the past I've been able
to install back my saves using old version of SavegameManagerGX after another
NAND restore, about a year ago.
I'll try your test dol for sure!
