Bot is overloaded each week during raid hour due to volume of raids and discord lag. Train lobby is only supported for servers that do local/remote mix and not for remote only.
I used raid trains weekly to host before we toggled remote only server wide. Users understood without needing a guide, explanation, or coaching that trains were an hour of raids and $r or screenshot upload were only 1.
$next similarly was clear to newbies that I was driving/walking/preparing to get to and send the next raid and to hold please.
(I now use $reset as an alternative).
The few who joined a train channel still thinking it was just one raid would realize when I typed $next that maybe there was more than one, as "next" indicates something to come.
$reset works but requires explanation, which usually can't happen as the raider will type $bye not knowing its an hour. Hosts get help up waiting for another raider to join at best, but most of the time end up failing or at least having to relobby the next raid not knowing the raider has gone AFK as some newbies do not type $bye. Hosts in general now get less raids in during the hour due to having to spend unnecessary time on things based of simple misunderstanding from new raiders.
Describe the solution you'd like
Option to toggle raid trains on for remote only servers. Right now only available for Local or Local/Remote Mixed servers.
Commands I used without needing to explain to brand new raiders were:
$ready
$go
$next
Describe alternatives you've been using
Opening a fake lobby, extending, and using $go and $reset accordingly. Subbing time usually spent getting an extra raid or 3 in instead helping accordingly as users leave/rejoin/go AFK ect.
I help with all other raid hours to ease hosts time wasted each week. As users leave/go AFK I dm accordingly or tag the raid channel in our raid chat and comment "1 spot is now open" to quicken time spent finding a raider to replace them for the host.
During my own raid hour I begin my "train channel" 15 minutes before to ask each of the 10 raiders that join if they can commit to the hour. If they cannot I either (1) find a second raider able to commit for the time they cannot or (2) ask them to please be understanding and allow another raider to join instead that can do the full hour.
