Cant really install #159

It says liteloader but liteloader is only for 1.12 and later

For versions after 1.12.2, the only available option is as a base edit (which is a rather archaic way of modding, but it works). The easiest way to install the base edit version is via multimc and "add to minecraft.jar". More info in the forum post.

I will eventually have ports targeting forge and fabric.

Did you use "Add to minecraft.jar"? Other buttons (e.g. "add mod") won't work.
Did you use the correct WDL zip for your minecraft version? (e.g. mod-worlddownloader-baseedit-4.0.6.2-mc1.15.2.zip for 1.15.2)?

That's an issue on your end. MC-34749 has some more information on it. Probably, you did something to work around it on your normal MC install, but you'll need to do it again for multimc.
