This repo is 3 years old, but it's as good a place as any to resume the work of mapping data sources (fka datasets) with our new database and API.
This issue is for experimental development so we can learn what works. Next, we'll put maps into our app. Now, we just need to get good at making maps that work.
Requirements
[ ] replace 99–100% of what's in this repo (make sure to add a simple readme)
[ ] use our API to make a simple mapping MVP: a map of Allegheny County with a dot for each agency, sized according to the number of data sources available there.
[ ] may need to make changes (in airtable) to the agencies' geo data → they will update the database
[ ] consider how it will integrate into our Vue app; demonstrate that it will work with our postgres db, flask api, and vue front end.
Open questions
If county-level mapping is complicated (it's hard to get a map of all the counties, harder to use 3000 counties than 50 states) this issue could be worked at the state level, or other parts of the requirements could be dropped if unreasonable
