Pulling this out of docs at the same time. Since these are just readme copypastas and we're under the wire for GitBook approval, I'm going to merge them!

@EricTurner3 @CaptainStabs heads up on my readme PR. To make us look more open source I've moved what was in docs here. I've created links in the docs to them, so I think it worked kinda nice actually.
