Old Polly did not have functionality for Delta-90 degree depolarization calibration, which makes molecular depolarization calibration the only applicable calibration method. But by far, the molecular depolarization calibration scheme is not implemented yet, which is essential for reprocessing all polly data.
Solution
Add a new depolarization calibration mode for depol_cali_mode to activate molecular depolarization calibration. And use Eq.(28) (Baars., 2012) to calculate depolarization calibration factor V*, in which the reference height can be obtained from the Rayleigh fitting.
