Currently command mode is somewhat working, but you can't see what you are typing on the screen. Make this work.

Also, this may or may not be within the scope of this work, but escape and backspace need to be made to work as well.

Deleted the other comment---I resolved that. Also, I made escape work. Backspace will be easy enough; I'll just do it real quick.

Backspace working now too once #26 is merged.
