we're all familiar with the computer keyboard being usable as a music keyboard by mapping q to C3 or C4 and then treating the rest of the top two and bottom two rows of keys as virtual note input. It's supported in FL Studio, Ableton, etc. and even ancient trackers like FastTracker or ScreamTracker.
Worth doing? Maybe? not-US-international-layout would be hilariously wrong though.
