Splash screen before the puzzle should give the player a goal #1289

A little popup like "Gotta Go Fast! Rank Up: 0:45" or "Gotta get fat! Rank up: $1,200" so the player knows what they need to increase their grade. And, so the player knows how they're being graded.

Maybe even just something simple like a guy carting a wheelbarrow full of cash saying, "Earn as much as you can!" or a guy running fast saying, "Finish as quick as you can!"

This could also reuse the same screen as the evaluation screen; show 0 stars and have numbers above each one.

This should also tell the player the minimum scoring requirement for boss stages.
